Privacy policy.

BonikLabs (BonikLabs) operates a multi-vendor e-commerce marketplace platform, available on the web and as the "Bonik Buddy" mobile app (Android/iOS), that lets sellers and vendors create stores, list products, and manage orders, and lets customers browse and purchase from those stores. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how it is used, and who it is shared with, across both the website and the mobile app.

Information we collect

Account & contact data: name, email address, phone number, business/store name, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text) when you register as a customer, seller, or vendor.

Order & transaction data: shipping address, order history, cart contents, and payment status. Card, mobile-wallet, or bank details are processed directly by our licensed payment partners (including bKash) — we do not store full payment credentials on our servers.

Device & usage data: IP address, device/browser type, app version, crash logs, and general usage analytics used to keep the platform secure and improve performance.

Photos you choose to upload: the mobile app requests photo-library access only when you (as a seller/vendor) choose to upload a product image; the website equivalent is a standard file picker. We do not access your camera roll in the background.

Push notification data: if you enable notifications in the mobile app, we use a device push token (via Expo/Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver order, chat, and account alerts. You can disable this anytime in your device settings.

Sign-in data: if you choose "Sign in with Google," we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google to create or match your account. We do not receive your Google password.

How we use information

To create and secure accounts, process and fulfill orders, provide customer support, send order/account/promotional notifications (which you can opt out of), prevent fraud and abuse, and improve platform reliability and features.

Marketplace & vendor data sharing

BonikLabs is a multi-vendor marketplace: when you place an order with a specific seller or vendor store, we share the information necessary to fulfill that order (name, delivery address, phone number, order contents) with that seller/vendor so they can prepare and ship it. Sellers and vendors are independent operators responsible for handling the customer data shared with them in compliance with applicable law.

We also share data, only as necessary, with: payment processors (including bKash and other gateways) to complete transactions; logistics/courier partners to deliver orders; cloud hosting and infrastructure providers who store data on our behalf; analytics providers to understand product usage; and government authorities when required by law. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Data retention & your rights

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required for legal, tax, security, and fraud-prevention obligations. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the email below; account and order data may be retained where required by law even after a deletion request.

Children's privacy

BonikLabs is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Individual store policies

Storefronts on BonikLabs can set their own policy terms. When visiting or ordering from a specific seller storefront, please also review that seller's own Privacy Policy, published on their store, for details unique to that store.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. By using BonikLabs on the web or via the Bonik Buddy app, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and processing of information as described here.
